MOOOOOVIE REVIEW

Glynn and I went to see Michael Moore's latest greatest documentary, Sicko. Whether you agree with Micheal Moore or not, this movie makes you think. The movie is about our health care system and compares it to the socialized heath care systems in Canada, England, Cuba, and France. The part that was the most moving for me was when he interviewed a woman who was a 9/11 rescue worker who suffered from chronic bronchitis and breathing problems. She gave everything she could to help after 9/11 and is suffering after breathing in all the toxins and dust. Because her health care bills became too high and she could not work because she was so sick, she used all her savings and moved, and is now trying to scrape by, raising her two kids and trying to pay for her medication. Mr. Moore took a boat full of people to Cuba and she received free treatment in a Cuban hospital. She thanked and thanked the doctor for showing real compassion for her and truly helping her without worrying if she had the money to pay. I could not stop myself from crying for this woman. I can't understand how this Amerian hero is not receiving the health care she deserves. My personal views about our health care system aside, go see this movie, at the very least it will make you think about what those insurance payments are really paying for.
