I had lovely summers as a kiddo at Girl Scout camp. The only thing that distinguishes one camp from the other is lake or horses. I loved my weeks at Trefoil with the horses, but I must say I thought Cloudrim was a more beautiful camp. I would sneak off in the afternoons, I loved to wander through the high meadows, or float around on the lake in a canoe. I really miss being in a canoe sometimes, it’s so peaceful. I was pretty good at it too; I was able to go really fast! I think it was because of my height and longer arms, I was always the fastest in a canoe race and usually always won! I hung out with the girl next door at camp. (We never really hung out at school, different friends, but we were thick as thieves at camp for some reason.) We won a canoe race against that one Bishop of ours that was a contractor and very tan (his name escapes me).
I really do miss it, I should tell Glynn to take me down to the lake and rent us a canoe…”Just a boy and a girl in a little canoe……”

Good summer times. I am so glad you had the opportunity to be in Girl Scouts and go to camp and then Girls Camp. Good experiences. Remindes me I didn't talk about my girls camp experiences when I was a girl. HUMM.

I love summer camps and canoes too. I went to 4-H camp each summer and then of course Girls Camp. Great times, Good friends (camp only), and great memories. What fun times. Oh to be young again and go to camp!
I'm impressed. I can't get the canoe to go straight.
I really liked girls camp, too. It was about the funny songs.
