Dinosaurs are alive!!!

We sure had a great time at the Heard Wildlife Museum in McKinney today! The best part was of course the dinos, but there was also a really neato butterfly preserve, lots of snakes with a cool walk through the inside of a snake, and some really neat shells. The only part I didn't like were the living conditions of the few animals the did have; the cages were very depressing and the animals all looked pretty stressed out. I realize they may not have a huge budget, maybe these animals would be better off in a larger zoo where their conditions could be better...?

Other than the live animals, we had a great time. I highly highly highly recommend the Heard Museum to anybody with kiddos that are interested in dinosaurs.

P.S. Glynn really was there, he took all the pictures and he pushed the stroller through the gravel the whole time so my back wouldn't hurt, he's my hero.

If you ever come back to Utah (hint hint)...and are in the North-Eastern part (my neck of the woods), you HAVE to take the Boys to Dinosaur National Monument in Vernal. It's so much fun. We would go there all the time when I was younger.
