I was asked by a friend how we get all these family photes when we are out and about. Well, I'll tell you my secret...I ask people to take our picture and then I take a picture of them with their family. I learned this little trick from my sister-in-law, Kathy.
I also please the Family-Photo Gods by offering "the photographer", (the shmuck who brought a camera and is therefore in none of the vacation photos), to take the picture so they can be in the picture. They are usually so greatful, they offer to take our picture, I don't even have to ask!
However, Jen, if you take your kids out on African safari, where there are no other people, and not to the mall to see Santa, it doesn't really work out.

Good idea, in theory. I'm so afraid my camera will get nicked that I don't ask over here. Martin has told me repeatedly that people over here will steal anything that isn't nailed down, and experience has proved him right. Most people can run faster than a 6 1/2 month pregnant woman!
Hey - I got your Christmas letter. Cute family pic - I love it. Did you get the memo about the ward Christmas party? The date is changed to the 20th now because of a wedding reception schedule conflict. Ha! Anyway - let me know you got this!
'k, so we went to Temple Square on Saturday...tried your little trick and it totally worked!!! :) I'm still trying to figure a way around the African Safari thing. Maybe I can hire a porter..... Right.
