GG, the boys and I finally got around to trying this place in the Bishop Arts District. One of my favorite bloggers, Granny Geek: http://grannygeek.us/ wrote a review a while back and we've been meaning to stop in ever since. We REALLY enjoyed the food. This is a family owned and operated biz, Mom, Pop and daughter and they make as much as they make as much as tehy can from scratch. The Hummus (made in house) was super duper yummy, and the pita bread was nice and hot right from the grill. This was followed by an awesome Gyro with nice fresh veggies and homemade yogurt sauce. Then to top it off we had homemade Baklava! Yum!!! We spoke to Mom and Daughter and told them how good everything was, we were told to come back on Tuesday to see the dessert case filled up with homemade goodies. (The case was empty because they sold all they had during the Friday dinner and Saturday lunch rush!) The couple eating behind us commented the Baba Ganush was really tasty too.
This place has been open 8 months and we hope it is here to stay, we really enjoyed the food and supporting independent local business. I hope to see you there sometime!
